After the sign of the birth of the Savior had been given, it
was more difficult for the adversary to lead the people astray, but he did have
some success among the children of the Lamanites as they grew up and “became
for themselves” (v. 29). Wouldn't it be
wonderful if, as they grow up, we could teach our children to “become for
Christ” instead of for themselves?
Church service, such as serving a full-time mission, helps us to do
so. Let’s help the young men and the
young women who will be influenced by us to “become for Christ” before they go
out on their own.
