Abish though that by seeing the king, queen and Ammon
overcome by the Spirit of the Lord the
people would believe in God. To her
disappointment, the scene only caused controversy. It required the king’s own testimony in
addition to the miracle for people to believe and become converted. This is one example of how signs are
insufficient to fully convert. Let us
testify of the Savior, and with that the signs that life affords can more
easily have the desired effect.
